Your band already knows.
Now the person you love can too.
WHOOP measures your night. Pulse turns it into one human sentence for your partner, and puts every measurement into Apple Health on the way, where the rest of your health already lives.
A band that finally talks to Apple Health.
WHOOP keeps your data inside its own app. Apple Health never sees it, which is why most iPhone apps behave as though your band is not there at all. Pulse closes that gap in three steps, all of them on your phone.
Sign in once
Connect your WHOOP account in Pulse's settings. Your phone talks to WHOOP directly, and nothing about your body passes through us.
It lands in Apple Health
Sleep, recovery and workouts are written into Apple Health on your iPhone, a few times a day and each time you open the app. A night WHOOP re-scores later is corrected there, never duplicated.
Your partner gets a sentence
Pulse reads Health the way it always has, weighs today against your own baseline, and sends one gentle cue: “A calm evening might mean a lot today.” Never a number.
Everything Apple Health has a place for.
In your own record, on your own phone, readable by every other app you already trust with it.
-
Time asleep and in bed, with light, deep and REM totals
-
Resting heart rate, every morning
-
Heart rate variability
-
Breathing rate and blood oxygen
-
Wrist temperature while you sleep
-
Workouts, with their duration, energy and distance
And what we deliberately leave out.
Strain, recovery percentage and sleep performance are not imported. Apple Health has no field that means any of them, and filing a number under something it is not would leave a wrong reading sitting in your health record for years. They stay in the WHOOP app, where they make sense.
One more thing worth saying out loud: the sleep stage totals are exactly what WHOOP measured, but where each stage sat inside the night is an estimate, because WHOOP's own interface reports the totals only. Every sample Pulse writes says so, in the sample itself.
Your data's whole route, in three lines.
WHOOP → your iPhone → Apple Health
Your measurements never touch our servers. The only thing that does is the sign-in handshake, because WHOOP requires a secret an app cannot safely carry, and we keep nothing from it.
The keys stay on your phone
The connection lives in your iPhone's keychain. Disconnecting removes it and ends the access on WHOOP's side too, in one tap, and deleting your account does the same.
What is written stays yours
Disconnect and the data already in Apple Health stays there. It is your record, held by Apple, and you can remove it yourself from Health's own Sources screen whenever you like.
What people ask before connecting.
Do I still need an Apple Watch?
No. A WHOOP is enough on its own: connect it and Pulse reads your nights exactly the way it reads a Watch. You do need an iPhone, because the on-device processing and the encryption are built on Apple Health and the iCloud Keychain.
Do I have to use the Apple Health app?
Only in the sense that Pulse writes there and reads back. You never have to open it. If you do, you will find everything your band measured sitting alongside whatever else your phone already tracks.
Why are my strain and recovery score missing?
Because Apple Health has nowhere honest to put them. Pulse imports measurements, not WHOOP's interpretation of them, and it has its own reading to make. Your scores stay in the WHOOP app, unchanged.
What if I wear both a WHOOP and an Apple Watch?
That works, with nothing to configure. Apple Health holds both, and Pulse counts each minute of sleep once rather than adding the two together.
