Pricing

Free. The whole app, both of you.

Every feature, for both partners, with no trial countdown and no paywall in the middle of a conversation. Pulse is young and we would rather have the right couples using it than the right revenue from it.

Included

Everything, rather than a starter tier.

The list below is the whole app. If you can find it in Pulse, it is in the free version, because there is no other version.

  • One daily cue from your own Apple Watch or WHOOP signals
  • Insights: your weekly and monthly wellness trends
  • End-to-end encrypted chat with photos, GIFs and reactions
  • Hold, together: a held heart both of you feel at once
  • Wordless signals, a candle, a bubble, a held heart
  • Our Story, your shared timeline of small moments
  • Together since: the day counter and the anniversary nudge
  • A shared calendar that mirrors into your own
  • The shared wishlist, with real nearby date suggestions
  • The shared watchlist for films, series, books and music
  • A shared shopping list your partner can approve and tick off
  • Ask for what you need, and How to care for me
  • The daily question, hidden until you have both answered
  • The Apple Watch app, with all eight of its small views
  • Home Screen widget, Lock Screen controls, Siri and Shortcuts
  • Face ID lock, data export and account deletion

Every one of these, described properly: the features page

What free means here, and what it does not.

  • Not ad-supported

There is no advertising in Pulse and no advertising identifier in the build. Nobody is bidding on the fact that you slept badly, because nobody outside your phone knows.

  • Not data-funded

We do not sell, broker or share your data, and there is very little to sell: your health signals never reach our servers and your messages are encrypted before they do.

  • Not a trial

Nothing stops working after fourteen days. There is no countdown in the corner and no feature that quietly locks itself once you are attached to it.

Will it stay free?

Honestly: we do not know. Pulse is made by a small team in Vienna, and servers, notifications and an Apple developer account all cost money that has to come from somewhere. If we ever ask for it, we would rather it came from the people using the app than from anyone buying access to them.

So the app might one day have a paid plan. What it will not do is change the rules quietly, or hold the things you have already made hostage to it.

  • If a paid plan arrives, it goes through the App Store and we say so clearly and in advance.
  • Your chat, your Our Story and your memories are not going behind a paywall. What you have written stays yours to read and to export.
  • No advertising and no data sale. That one is not a pricing decision, it is the reason the app is built the way it is.

About the price

The six questions people actually write to us about.

How much does Pulse cost?
Nothing today. Pulse is free to download and free to use, with every feature available to both partners and no advertising anywhere in it.
Why is it free if it is not selling my data?
Because it is early. Pulse is made by a small team in Vienna that would rather spend this year learning what couples actually need than building a billing system. The costs are real and are carried by us for now.
Will it stay free forever?
We cannot promise that. If a paid plan ever arrives it will go through the App Store, we will say so clearly in advance, and what you have already written in the app will not be locked behind it.
Are there ads, or is my data sold?
Neither. There is no advertising in the app, no advertising identifier in the build, and no data brokerage of any kind. Your raw health data never reaches our servers in the first place.
Is anything locked behind an in-app purchase?
No. There is no in-app purchase, no consumable, no premium tier and no feature that appears greyed out with a padlock on it.
Does my partner have to pay?
No. Pulse is free for both of you, and there is no arrangement where one person holds a subscription and the other is a guest on it.

It costs you a download.

Install it tonight, connect whoever you are thinking about, and see what one gentle sentence does to an evening.
