Understanding each other,
gently.

Pulse is a couples wellness app that turns the quiet signals from your Apple Watch into small, human cues for your partner, never numbers, never a verdict. The raw data never leaves your phone.

The promise
Help partners understand each other without needing to explain everything.
The principle Pulse is built on.
01 · How it works

Four quiet steps,
nothing personal leaves your phone.

01

Watch listens

Sleep, resting heart rate, HRV, movement, recovery, the same signals your Apple Watch already records.

02 14-DAY BASELINE TODAY

Phone interprets

Your iPhone compares today against your own rolling baseline, locally, never in the cloud.

03 Sleep hints Activity cues Recovery signals

You decide

Toggle what you want to share, sleep hints, activity, recovery. Pause or hide it at any moment.

04 A calm evening might mean a lot today. A

Partner receives a cue

A short, human sentence, “A calm evening might mean a lot today.” No numbers. No medical claims.

No Watch, no problem

No Apple Watch? Tell Pulse how you feel in one tap instead, and your partner gets the same gentle cue. Connect Health whenever you like and the readings start on their own.

02 · The surface

One screen.
The whole day.

Home opens with a quiet hello and how your partner's day looks, then today's reading, then everything you two share: your story, what you're planning, your lists, and Know Us. Written like a thoughtful friend would, not like a chart.

  • Daily, then gone

Cues expire at midnight. No history archive your partner can scroll through.

  • Suggestion, not surveillance

Each cue comes with a couple of small things to do, a message, an offer of space, a quiet evening.

  • One pause button

Stop sharing instantly with one tap, and resume whenever you choose. Optionally invisible to your partner.

03 · On the wrist

A small surface for the smallest gestures.

Eight small screens and a complication for your watch face, no notifications you didn’t ask for. A tap to say you’re thinking of them, a quick mood check-in, and your day at a glance.

04 · Together

A small shared space,
just for the two of you.

The Chat tab keeps the small gestures between you, lets you send something warm in a single tap, and gives you a private, end-to-end encrypted chat for when words are the right thing.

  • Words optional

A tap, a hug, a "thinking of you". No message, just a warm nudge that quietly lands with them.

  • Words that fit the day

Quick messages tuned to how your day actually feels, or a chat that's end-to-end encrypted. The keys live in your iCloud Keychain; not even we can read a word.

  • Their mood, gently present

The space quietly takes on the colour of your partner's day, so you feel where they are before either of you speaks.

  • Hold, together

Press and hold the small heart in chat, and when your partner does the same at that very moment, you both feel "Connected," no matter the distance between you, a small joy long-distance couples especially love.

05 · Staying close

The little things
that keep you close.

Beyond the daily cue, Pulse holds a quiet layer for the relationship itself, something many wellness apps for couples skip: a shared memory, a gentle way back to each other, and small plans to look forward to.

  • Our Story

A shared album of little moments, a photo, an evening, a date you never want to forget. It grows quietly alongside you.

  • A gentle way back

On a day that feels a little distant, send a soft "thinking of us". Never a complaint, just an invitation to feel close again.

  • Plan something together

A shared wishlist of small ideas for the two of you. Tick one off once you've done it, and it becomes a memory in Our Story.

  • One question, every day

One gentle, shared question each day. Your partner's answer stays hidden until you've given your own, no peeking, just a small, honest exchange.

  • The day you count from

Set the day you got together and Pulse quietly keeps the count: how many days and hours it has been, and one small celebration when the year comes round.

06 · Principles

The rules we won’t break.

01

Raw health data stays on your device.

Heart rate, HRV, sleep duration, step count, your partner never sees the numbers, and neither do we. Processing happens locally on your iPhone.

02

Cycle data stays private, unless you choose to share it.

If you enable Rhythm Awareness, your cycle quietly shapes the tone of cues without ever naming the phase. Want your partner to actually know? Turn on sharing your period and cycle calendar instead, a separate, deliberate choice, off by default.

03

No certainty. Only “might”, “may”, “could”.

Wellness signals are not diagnoses. Every message Pulse writes leaves space, for context you know and we don’t.

04

One pause button, always.

Stop sharing instantly, optionally without your partner being notified. End the connection and every shared record is removed.

05

No advertising. No third parties.

Pulse is paid for by the people who use it. Your wellness, your relationship, and your patterns are not products.

06

Your words are yours alone.

The chat is end-to-end encrypted. The key is generated on your device and lives in your iCloud Keychain, tied to your Apple ID, never on our servers. We couldn't read your messages even if we wanted to.

07

Every health concept has a source.

What Pulse hints about sleep, heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen or your cycle is backed by reputable, public sources, the NIH, the American Heart Association, Cleveland Clinic and more, linked right inside the Insights tab. Informational, never a diagnosis.

a short note

Hi. We made this for two people we love.

One of us kept asking the other, "are you okay?". The honest answer was usually yes, mostly, but on the days it wasn't, neither of us knew how to start. Pulse is the small bridge we wanted then.

It is intentionally small. It does not predict your mood. It does not pretend to know you. It just hands you a soft word on the days a soft word might help.

If it does that for you and the person you love, we have done our job.
